The story

The collection that opened the Painted Bloom world. A structured bodice holds a full skirt in teal silk, printed with blooms enlarged until they read as architecture rather than decoration.

The neckline is cut to frame beaded earrings and the skirt is weighted to move without ever losing its line. It photographs like a painting and walks like a dress.

01

Teal silk, printed with blooms until the print reads as architecture.

Beading close enough that only a conversation can see it.

A gown with an obligation to enter a room properly.

Model wearing a teal silk gown covered in painterly floral blooms

Underneath, a proper lining. The skirt should never announce the lining.

The bodice holds its shape without holding a breath.

The rest are spoken as you walk the room.

Structure up top, so the skirt can do the walking.Blue, gold and blush, enlarged well past polite size.Weighted at the hem, because a full skirt should fall on purpose.Cut to frame earrings, because someone will always borrow a pair.It photographs like a painting and behaves like a dress.Three fittings, which is why it sits still while she moves.Silk that holds its colour under every light in Lagos.A skirt wide enough for a dance floor and polite enough to share it.Edge to edge, with no panel left as the quiet one.She does not need the dress to speak first.Built for an entrance, kept for the memory of it.Teal chosen over many trials, until the shade read exactly right.Every bloom placed by hand, then placed again. It behaves in a car, a pew, and a receiving line.Light leaves its mark on the skirt, and the skirt keeps it.Made in Lagos, by hand, for a room that will be photographed.Full volume at the shoulder, quiet discipline at the waist.
